How can we help?

Answers about your data, Connect YouTube, plans and more.

Getting started

What is Breme?

Breme is a dashboard for YouTube creators in Kenya. It puts your channel's numbers from YouTube in one place, shows the most-viewed new videos viewable in Kenya, and sums up the week's creator news. It's free to start.

How do I add my channel?

After you sign up, enter your channel ID (it starts with UC) or a youtube.com/channel/UC… link. You'll find the ID in your YouTube account's advanced settings. Handles such as @yourname aren't supported yet.

How often does my dashboard update?

On its own: every 3 days on Free, daily on Lite, twice a day on Pro and every 6 hours on Agency. You can also refresh a channel yourself, once an hour. Every figure shows when it was fetched from YouTube.

Which countries is Breme in?

Kenya first, with prices in shillings and M-Pesa. Breme is built for creators across Africa, and more countries are on the way.

Is Breme part of YouTube?

No. Breme is an independent service that uses YouTube API Services, YouTube's official way for apps to read YouTube data. It isn't made or endorsed by YouTube or Google. By using Breme you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Your data and privacy

Who can see my channel's data?

Only you. Your channels' data is shown only to you. Trending lists contain only public YouTube data and are the same for everyone in a country.

What does Breme collect?

Your email address, username and country; your linked channels' details and statistics from YouTube; and, if you choose Connect YouTube, the data Breme reads with your permission. The Privacy Policy lists everything, and who it's shared with.

How long does Breme keep YouTube data?

Titles, descriptions and statistics are refreshed by each sync, and deleted if they haven't been refreshed for 25 days. Daily snapshots of your channel's statistics are kept for 25 days. See How long we keep it.

Can I download my data?

Yes. In your account settings you can download everything Breme holds about you, in one file, at any time.

How do I delete my account?

Delete it in your account settings. Your channels and their YouTube data are deleted immediately, and the rest of your account is erased 30 days later. Deleting data in Breme doesn't change anything on YouTube.

Does Breme sell my data or show ads?

No. Breme shows no advertising, sets no tracking cookies and never sells your data.

Connect YouTube

What is Connect YouTube?

An optional step that gives Breme read-only access to your own channel, with your Google permission. Breme can then include your private and unlisted videos, shown only to you. It's rolling out to more creators.

Can Breme change anything on my channel?

No. The permission is read-only: Breme can't post, comment, edit or delete anything on YouTube, and never sees your password.

Why must I use the same Google account?

To protect your account, Breme only connects the Google account that uses the same email address as your Breme account.

How do I disconnect YouTube?

Choose Disconnect Google in your settings: Breme cancels its access at Google straight away and deletes the YouTube data it read with your permission. You can also remove Breme on your Google Account permissions page; Breme checks every few days and deletes that data once it sees the change.

Plans and payments

When do paid plans open?

Very soon. The Free plan costs nothing, and you'll be able to upgrade whenever you like once paid plans open.

How will I pay?

With M-Pesa: Breme sends a payment request to your phone, and you confirm it with your M-Pesa PIN. You'll also be able to pay by card or Airtel Money on the secure page of Paystack or Pesapal. Breme never sees your card details.

Do plans renew automatically?

No. Plans are prepaid passes for 7 or 30 days. When a pass ends you move back to Free, and you can buy another whenever you want. Breme never takes money on its own.

Can I get a refund?

Payments for a pass that has started aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake, or paid and didn't get access, contact us and we'll put it right. See Plans and payments in the Terms.
